Jonathan worked with Jason Box on the ‘Supporting Excellence’ change programme at EDF Energy where he played a key role analyzing £600m of operational spend leading to identifying and tracking of c.£70m year on year operating cost savings. He is a recognised expert in defining baselines for both spend and headcount and benefits tracking alignment back to the financial accounts so that business cases are sustainable and tangible.
During his time at Deutsche Bank, Jonathan managed a team in the global Markets and Equities group as a global cost controller. His work included scenario modeling relating to global trading costs and improving key visibility of discretionary spend categories whilst identifying opportunities for cost reduction.
Previously Jonathan worked as the financial planning and controller in EDF Energy & London Electric generating and interpreting financial models for OFGEM, M&A analysis for power stations and group consolidation reporting, the latter role improved the cycle time for period-end reporting and greatly improved quality assurance of the accounts for decision making.
